Big toys go on show at the Wimmera Machinery Field Days

More than $200 million worth in machinery, equipment and materials will find a home at the iconic three day Wimmera Machinery Field Days site next Tuesday in Longerenong. The Field Days is a showcase of the latest developments in farming practice, machinery, equipment, technology and services. “The field days not only provide a pivotal source of information to farmers about latest technology, resources, machinery and farming techniques, but are essential to the economic and social prosperity of the region”, Wimmera Field Days Senior vice president and also Victorian Farmers Federation vice president, David Jochinke said. “The event injects more than $3 million directly into the broader Wimmera economy each year; however, the potential economic contribution is significantly higher. Conservative estimates suggest that the three days could generate well over $50 million in trade. “WMFD are Victoria’s longest running Field Days and the nation’s premier broad acre focussed Field Days.
